My Gestational Diabetes Diet

I’m feeling off track June 27, 2012

  • Sweet potato muffin with butter and honey
  • Strawberry banana smoothie, with protein powder and greek yogurt
  • coffee and cream


  • ChickfilA nuggets and fries


  • coconut whipped cream with dark chocolate chips and 1 graham cracker
  • 1 hr. later  refried bean dip and tortilla chips



  • 2 almond butter chocolate chip cookies
  • 1 cup skim milk

I don’t feel like I am in control of my eating.  I am still craving sugar and carbs.  Does that ever go away?  I eat a lot of dark chocolate chips in a day and need fruit and things also.  Maybe that’s ok.  I am also craving cheese a lot.  I guess I’m needing either calcium or salt, huh?  I don’t even know what the rules are about milk and cheese for diabetics.  I need to research this.
