  • 1/2 wheat bagel with 1 Tb cream cheese
  • coffee with 1 TB of sweet cream

(This breakfast was a total grab and go, rush and run meal.  Sundays are hard for us to get up get dressed and get to church at 9.  I faced a lot of temptation, cause somebody brought a box of krispy kreme doughnuts to the kid’s wing at church, where we were working today.  Krispy Kreme is my favorite, but I didn’t even take a bite.  My husband had 2.)

  • Pecans

  • Grilled chicken breast with cheese and bbq sauce
  • 1/2 cup sweet potato fries
  • a little bit of onion straws, tomato, lettuce, and apples
  • 2 sips of my son’s strawberry smoothie

(This was what I had to work with at Red Robin.  My boys loved it and it was Father’s Day, so they indulged, but I had a hard time not ordering a lime aid, milk shake, and soda.  I also had to order a sandwich and ask them to keep the bun in the kitchen 😦

  • Ribeye steak
  • potatoes baked with green peppers
  • wheat roll
  • Romaine salad with low carb dressing

  • 4 healthy peanut butter cookies (see recipe from Thursday)
  • 1 cup organic skim milk

Some tips:  1.  I always carry nuts in my purse, just in case I get stuck somewhere with food that is tempting me.  It worked out great today when the doughnuts showed up.  2.  At night, I always want to sit around and snack while watching tv.  I put a time on it and reach for a goal.  If it is 8 and I really want to snack, I tell myself to wait til 9 and I can have something before bed.  Sometimes it works.  3.  I don’t deprive myself from treats, just choose treats that can also be healthy.  For example, I find healthy versions of baked goods or frozen yogurt with stevia instead of things that would mess me up.
